Article Processing Charges (APCs)
Beginning March 18, 2025, X-Disciplinarity applies an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD $2,400 for all manuscripts accepted for publication. As an full open-access journal, every article is freely available online without subscription fees. The APC is essential to maintaining this model and supports the editorial and peer review process, manuscript production and hosting, DOI registration and indexing, long-term digital preservation, and the author and reader services provided by the journal.
The corresponding author is responsible for arranging payment once the manuscript is accepted. Payment is due upon acceptance, and manuscripts cannot proceed to publication until the APC has been received in full. Payment is handled directly by the publisher through email. Upon acceptance, the publisher will send a formal invoice in PDF format along with detailed payment instructions. Proof of payment must be returned by email to the editorial office in order to complete processing and avoid delays in publication.
X-Disciplinarity is committed to supporting researchers who may face financial challenges. Authors experiencing genuine financial difficulty, or those affiliated with institutions in low- or middle-income countries, may request a discount or waiver of the APC. Such requests should be directed to the publisher's office before or immediately after submission and will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Supporting documentation or justification may be required.
The APC is refundable only in cases where an accepted manuscript cannot be published due to an error by the journal. It is not refundable if an article is withdrawn by the author, retracted due to misconduct, or cannot be published because of author-related errors.
For all questions regarding APCs, payment instructions, or discount requests, authors should contact the INSTI Publishing at [email protected].
