Prof. Thomas J. Webster is a distinguished biomedical and material scientist and entrepreneur whose innovations have directly advanced human health. He has developed numerous FDA-approved medical products and founded more than a dozen companies translating research into clinical practice. Prof. Webster holds faculty appointments at leading institutions worldwide, including Brown University, Saveetha University, Hebei University of Technology, and UFPI, among others. Internationally recognized for his impact (H-index: 134), he has been named to the Clarivate Top 0.1% Most Influential Researchers in Pharmacology and Toxicology, the PLOS World’s Top 2% Scientists by Citations, and the SCOPUS Top 1% Highly Cited Researchers in Materials Science. Alongside his academic and entrepreneurial work, Prof. Webster collaborates with companies to drive innovation in medical technology and improve patient outcomes. He has also created a research fund supporting Nigerian students in pursuing opportunities in the United States, reflecting his dedication to mentoring the next generation of global scientists.

Prof. Ismail Fidan is a distinguished scholar in manufacturing engineering and advanced technology education. He is a Professor of Manufacturing and Engineering Technology at Tennessee Technological University, where he also directs the university’s iMakerSpace, advancing hands-on teaching and research in additive manufacturing, industrial automation, CAD/CAM, and machine design. Prof. Fidan has authored numerous publications and led major initiatives in additive manufacturing, Industry 4.0, and engineering education reform, collaborating with global institutions and professional societies. He has received numerous national and international honors, including the 2025 ASEE Frederick J. Berger Award, the 2025 Springer Nature Editorial Contribution Award, the 2023 ASEE National Engineering Technology Teaching Award, and Tennessee Tech’s highest faculty honor, the 2020 Caplenor Research Award. These recognitions reflect his outstanding achievements in teaching, research, innovation, and global academic leadership. Beyond academia, Prof. Fidan works closely with industry and educational organizations to bridge innovation with workforce development. He continues to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of advanced manufacturing and engineering education worldwide.

Prof. Weiling Gui is a distinguished physicist and educator at Shandong Normal University, where she serves as the Director of the National Physical Virtual Simulation Experimental Teaching Center and the Director of the Physics Experimental Teaching Center. Her research focuses on theoretical physics, optical materials analysis, ultrafast laser scattering, nanotechnology, and physics pedagogy. Prof. Gui is also a contributing author to leading journals such as Optical Materials Express and Chinese Physics Letters. In recognition of her achievements, she has been honored with three Shandong Province Science and Technology Progress Awards, reflecting her impact on both scientific research and education in community. |
