A New Era for X-Disciplinarity

Since the release of our inaugural issue in March 2025, X-Disciplinarity—a young and ambitious bi-monthly journal—has embarked on a remarkable journey. In just three issues, we have welcomed over 100 submissions and published 25 high-quality articles across diverse disciplines, catalyzing collaborations that transcend traditional academic boundaries. Our early recognition is both humbling and inspiring: indexed by Google Scholar and ResearchGate, our publications have already attracted more than half a million accesses and received multiple citations within a matter of months. This rapid growth affirms the journal’s promise as a rising platform for interdisciplinary innovation.

As submissions continue to expand in scope and complexity, our editorial and administrative teams have recognized the importance of strengthening our foundation to match the caliber of work entrusted to us. It is with great excitement that we announce a bold reorganization—ushering in a new chapter for X-Disciplinarity.

We are proud to establish the Editorial Director Board, the governing body responsible for guiding the journal’s strategic vision, safeguarding academic rigor, and ensuring the highest standards of research ethics. We are honored to appoint three distinguished scholars to this leadership council:

• Thomas J. Webster (Editor-in-Chief) – overseeing strategic development.
• Ismail Fidan (Co-Editor-in-Chief) – ensuring academic excellence.
• Weiling Gui (Co-Editor-in-Chief) – upholding ethical standards.

Every manuscript published in X-Disciplinarity will now undergo rigorous peer review, followed by approval from at least two members of the Editorial Director Board and a final ethical audit. This layered review process reflects our unwavering commitment to quality, fairness, and integrity.

The day-to-day operations will continue to be carried out by our Editorial Board, with invaluable support from the broader academic community of reviewers. Together, these structures position X-Disciplinarity not only as a journal, but as an emerging intellectual home for visionary scholarship.

This reorganization marks more than an administrative change—it is a new beginning. X-Disciplinarity is poised to grow into a leading voice of interdisciplinary research, shaping dialogue, advancing innovation, and setting new standards for academic publishing.
